We were thrilled when writer, Rebekah Carey, reached out to us about featuring our renovated cape on the Design Sponge blog this winter. We had Meredith Perdue come up to shoot our home, styled vignettes, and a few portraits of us and the dogs this winter, and the house tour went live earlier this spring.
Click here to read the post – Rebekah did a fantastic job in describing the home and our 20+ years of home renovations.

It’s such a treat to be able to relive this bright summertime wedding when we’re still anxiously waiting for spring to arrive in Maine! Katie & Zach were married at Marianmade Farm last June and planned one of the loveliest celebrations for their family & friends. As always, I had a wonderful time working alongside Lindsey of L. Brook Events, and I absolutely love how the team at Peter Greeno Photography captured Katie & Zach and so many of their thoughtful wedding details.

Cyndi & Tim’s late fall wedding at Marianmade Farm was so much fun! Sarah of Daisies & Pearls helped this sweet, down to earth couple plan a unique celebration that even included a nod to the Halloween holiday. The florals were a bit of a departure for me, as the goal was to incorporate something that was a bit more dramatic and “moody.” Of course, I had a wonderful time working alongside Sarah, the fantastic team at Trillium, and the talented photography duo of Hailey & Joel. While I am so excited for spring to come, looking through these photos certainly makes me nostalgic for a fall wedding in Maine!

Breanne & Justin’s September wedding at Marianmade Farm was a tropical dream! This sweet couple worked with Sarah of Daisies & Pearls to plan a day that reflected their modern aesthetic and I had the chance to infuse tropical flowers into every aspect of the floral design. It was a treat to see everything come together, especially the installation of tropical leaves which framed the acrylic calligraphy seating chart by Dyer Designs & Events. And I honestly cannot get enough of Breanne & Justin’s adorable pup – what a sweetie!
A huge thank you to a longtime favorite collaborator and fellow wedding vendor, Emily Delamater! Not only did she perfectly document the details that we all put so much effort in, she managed to capture the entire essence of this most special wedding day for our amazing clients – her portraits of them speak volumes of her work!

Eva & Andrew’s August wedding was, without a doubt, one of the highlights of my 2017 season! The ceremony backdrop of Fort Henry was exactly what this sweet couple wanted for their quintessential coastal Maine wedding. Eva & Andrew were a dream to work with and I had the most wonderful time bringing their romantic, floral garden party vision to life. Crafting the elongated live chandeliers for the sailcloth tent at The Bradley Inn was one of my most rewarding floral installations to date and I’m so thankful that the talented team at Fidelio Photography took such care in photographing the many details that were so near and dear to all of us.
A special thanks to Sarah at Daisies & Pearls for her work in making this day a dream come true for all of us and to the wonderful team at The Bradley Inn for their fantastic hospitality. And a huge amount of gratitude to Fidelio for sharing your many talents with your lucky clients and fellow vendors!

2017 was a fantastic year! The majority of my weddings took me just a few miles down the road from my floral studio in Alna to Marianmade Farm in Wiscasset. On occasion, I had the opportunity to work at some of my other favorite Midcoast wedding locations at places like Linekin Bay, Newagen, and the Bradley Inn.
Although I haven’t gathered photographs from each and every wedding I did in 2017, I have been genuinely blown away by the quality of images I’ve received from the photographers I was lucky to work with last year. I owe them a huge thank you for taking such care to photograph my floral designs in such beautiful and unique ways.
Here’s to a new year of adventures and flowers – thanks for following along!

What a treat it is to be able to relive this bright, summer wedding on a snowy day in Maine! The talented Rhode-Island based wedding photographer, Lisa Rigby, sent along photos from Cynthia & Adam’s Marianmade Farm wedding and I am blown away by how beautiful each and every image is. She captured the feeling of this cheerful, jewel-toned wedding with Daisies & Pearls, Trillium Caterers, and Ariel Johnson perfectly, and I feel lucky to have the chance to share a few of my favorite photos here.

It was an honor to be asked to assist in decorating the 1807 Nickels-Sortwell House for the holidays this season! Part of the Historic New England group of properties, the Nickels-Sortwell House is a beautiful Federal style home in the center of Wiscasset. I was tasked with decorating the dining room, while the Garden Club of Wiscasset and Water Lily Flowers took over the other first floor rooms.
The first floor of the home was open for tours this past snowy, cozy weekend and I loved having the chance to visit with old friends and meet new ones. If you haven’t yet been to the Nickels-Sortwell house, you should add it to your bucket list of historical homes and visit when it opens to the public again in June!

I was pleased to have both of my daughters, their families, and a close friend attend Thanksgiving dinner at our home in Alna this year. With the excitement of a table full of guests, plus two little ones at the kids’ table, I crafted a larger scale fall arrangement for the dining room table. My grandchildren helped me forage for some filler leaves and branches that morning and the pops of color come from some of my favorite fall blooms. When I have the chance to do so, I’m always reminded of how fulfilling it is to design for oneself!
