Maine Maritime Wedding: Lauren & Jarod

Maine Maritime Museum Wedding with Michelle Peele Floral

As the former owner of a lavender farm, I knew that I was going to love everything about Lauren & Jarod’s wedding day when I learned how they were incorporating my favorite flower into their wedding celebration. Not only did lavender abound, this couple couldn’t have been more down to earth and kind – it was an honor to be a part of their festivities!

Lexi & Matt Photography captured Lauren & Jarod’s wedding at the Maine Maritime Museum in Bath perfectly with their crisp, clean photography style. The following are just a few of my favorites from this very special day. For even more, be sure to visit this post from Lexi & Matt!

2018 Wedding Flowers

Marianmade Farm Wedding with Michelle Peele Floral by Alexandra Roberts

2018 was another incredible year filled with happy couples and beautiful flowers. Though I haven’t seen photos from all of the weddings I collaborated on, here’s a sample of a year that took me to weddings up and down the coast of Maine, from the rocky beaches of Castine to the wooded coves of Phippsburg.

A big thanks to the talented photographers I’m lucky to work with who take such care in capturing the many moments and the thoughtful details of our clients’ wedding days.

Decorating the Nickels-Sortwell House

It was an honor to be asked to assist in decorating the 1807 Nickels-Sortwell House for the holidays this season! Part of the Historic New England group of properties, the Nickels-Sortwell House is a beautiful Federal style home in the center of Wiscasset. I was tasked with decorating the dining room, while the Garden Club of Wiscasset and Water Lily Flowers took over the other first floor rooms.

The first floor of the home was open for tours this past snowy, cozy weekend and I loved having the chance to visit with old friends and meet new ones. If you haven’t yet been to the Nickels-Sortwell house, you should add it to your bucket list of historical homes and visit when it opens to the public again in June!
